Matthew Burgess has been a poet-in-residence with Teachers & Writers since 2001. He is also a full-time lecturer at Brooklyn College, where he teaches literature and creative writing to undergraduates. He is currently a doctoral candidate in English at the CUNY Graduate Center, and his children’s book about E.E. Cummings is forthcoming from Enchanted Lion Books.
